Industry Specialist Consultants

Orla Ollewagen Orla holds a BComm majoring in Industrial Psychology and Business Management. She has over 18 years experience in Recruitment, Executive Search and Human Resources. After spending 9 years in Corporate HR within the Financial Services sector, Orla chose to specialise in recruitment and selection. Her portfolio includes Human Resources and Executive IT roles. Orla is a highly skilled HR professional who has an unparalleled network in HR and IT, and is widely regarded within the South African recruitment industry as one of the top HR recruiters in the country.

Alet van Niekerk Alet has been a consultant with The Appointment Firm since 2008 and her main areas of focus are IT, Marketing and Communications recruitment. Alet holds a BSc Honours in Psychology from the University of Johannesburg and has a strong understanding of IT recruitment. She also oversees the IT issues for The Appointment Firm and being highly creative, is actively involved in our Corporate Gifting.

Nkhensani Mhlarhi Nkhensani is a Recruitment Consultant within The Appointment Firm. She is an HR graduate from the University of Johannesburg and is currently pursuing a Post-graduate degree at the same institution. She has experience in Human Resource Consulting within the Financial Services as well as the Tele-communications industry. Nkhensani was mainly tasked to assist in internal recruitment and training co-ordination for her clients as well as support all project initiatives underway. Nkhensani has a remarkable work ethic and is 100% dedicated to delivering the best level of service to her candidates and clients. Her main areas of expertise are Office Support, Call Centre and Junior Financial/IT positions.

Jo Robinson-Shepherd Jo holds a BA majoring in Psychology and English from Rhodes University, and an Honours degree in Clinical Psychology through UNISA. She has over fourteen years experience in Recruitment and Executive Search. Whilst in London in 1997, Jo joined Carver Consultants, a headhunting firm focusing on the retail sector. On returning to South Africa, Jo accepted a position with Renwick Executive Search starting as a Junior Researcher. Within two years, she was promoted to Associate and started working on assignments predominantly in the financial services arena. After four years with the company, she joined The Oval Office (the Search business of the Adcorp Group). Here her portfolio broadened to include Professional Services and Supply Chain / Procurement. Jo’s current portfolio at The Appointment Firm includes Legal, Professional Services, Financial Services, Supply Chain and Procurement. Jo has been with The Appointment Firm since its inception in 2004, and is passionately committed to the business and its premier client base.

Andrea Massyn Andrea joined the Appointment Firm in October 2010. Andrea has an Honours Psychology degree obtained through UNISA in 2010. She is responsible for the Supply chain / procurement portfolio and the engineering/ technical portfolio. Most of Andrea’s experience has been with client management and technical recruiting. Andrea has an excellent track record including her management of a large, international manufacturing client where she facilitated the placement of over 65 positions, reducing their vacancy portfolio from 102 vacancies to 3 vacancies within one year. Andrea is passionate about her job and is always willing to go the extra mile.
